Revenue
Revenue
Revenue = Price × Quantity Sold
How do I remember it?
Think of “revenue” as the money that you bring in and profit!
Real world example
Let’s say you start a small T-shirt business.
You sell each T-shirt for $20.
In one month, you sell 100 T-shirts.
Your revenue is:
$20 × 100 = $2,000
That $2,000 is all the money that came in from your sales, your revenue!
Then, of course, you’ll have expenses:
Buying T-shirts: $800
Printing costs: $300
Shipping and packaging: $200
So your total expenses are $1,300.
Your profit would then be:
$2,000 (revenue) – $1,300 (expenses) = $700 profit
